MORE BEYOND
Francis Bacon had on his bookplate an engraved picture. It was the picture of a small ship sailing out between the great Pillar of Hercules into an uncharted , unknown sea. Inscribed on the bow of the ship was its proud and defiant name: “MORE BEYOND.” That has always been the exhilarating faith of the church about all life in general. And on Easter Day it gets sharply focused on the particular matter of resurrection and eternal life: “MORE BEYOND.”
