DIVINE MARRIAGE EXAMPLE
The model for our redeemed humanity is Jesus, who perfectly patterned both initiating maleness (toward His Bride, the Church) and responsive femaleness (in his submission to the Father) during His life on earth. Both His initiating love and His responsive submission flowed from the reality that He was infinitely beloved of the Father and lived in such intimate fellowship with Him that He could sacrificially pour out His life to meet His people’s needs by gladly conforming to His Father’s will.
