TONGUE IS GOOD AND BAD
The midrash tells a tale of Rabbi Shimon ben Bamliel who told his servant, Tabbai, to buy some good food. The servant returned with some tongue. Then the Rabbi asked Tabbai to purchase some bad food. Again, the servant returned with some tongue. When pressed for an explanation, the servant replied, “The tongue is both good and bad, when it is good, it is very good, but when it is bad, nothing is worse.” Tabbai understood the power of words.
