Cinema Leo, a mobile outdoor film ministry, visits 26 villages each month to teach audiences about Christ. Director Arnie Mayer recalls one evening when a woman’s life was spared because her husband responded to God’s life-giving offer… “Slowly the thin but wiry man, we will call him Matuki, slid the razor- sharp knife back into its sheath. He had just finished praying to receive Jesus into his heart and had shown Peter Makatiani the knife he had brought with him to kill his wife. You see, Matuki hadn’t paid his dowry (bride price) and so, several months before, his in-laws had come and taken his wife away.
