HANGING BY A THREAD
There’s an old parable about a spider. He decided one day to move, so he spun a long strand of web up in the barn rafter, and he lowered himself to the next level. He fastened himself to a two-by-four and began to spin a great web. By and by he died and went to the great beyond. And of course, he left his estate to his son, who in turn left it to his own son. But the carefully built structure was a little antique at that point and as the grandson was marching along one day, he tripped over a strand of spider web. So he said, “These are out of style right now and they are in the way. I think the first step of remodeling will be to cut this strand.” So he reached out and nipped off what just happened to be the strand upon which the whole web was hanging, and he fell…
