“... whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die” (John 11:26).
In today’s Gospel Reading, Jesus affirms His Divine Power, saying, “I am the Resurrection and the Life. He who believes in Me, though he dies, yet shall he live, and whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die” (Jn. 11:25-26).
When we receive the Living Christ at the center of our being, we are making a connection — a connection with the power of Almighty God, the Source of all life.
From the beginning of His public ministry, Jesus demonstrated that the Healing Power of God was in Him. Matthew tells us that “He went about Galilee, teaching in the Synagogue, preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom, and healing every disease and infirmity among the people” (Mt. 4:23). And consider the first disciples of Jesus. After they had experienced the Presence of the Risen Christ, these ordinary persons discovered not only that they had an ongoing power to heal but one which they could share with others.
