FALSE IMPRESSIONS
I arrived in Toronto at 10 a.m. for a meeting with two of my colleagues. We were to meet in the home of my associate’s parents. As I approached the home, I saw my colleague’s car parked on the street so I just pulled into the driveway. As I grabbed my briefcase and started walking toward the house, an older gentleman came out of the house and warmly greeted me. I didn’t recognize him, but I thought, “that’s O.K. I’ve only been here once before.” I entered the house where I was introduced to the man’s wife. We chatted briefly and the gentleman began to tell me the problem he was having with the dishwasher. I found it all fascinating. Then I was asked, “Would you like to see the electrical panel?” “Sure, why not?” was my reply. (I thought it might be on the way to my meeting).
