HIS NEIGHBOR WAS HIS SON
A medical doctor was enjoying a much needed and much deserved vacation with his family aboard a luxury cruise liner. One morning he was strolling the deck when he noticed quite a commotion at the other end of the ship. He inquired of a passing steward what the cause of that commotion might be. He was told that a passenger had fallen overboard, but that the passenger had been rescued and doctors were applying artificial respiration. The doctor thought about getting involved, but he reminded himself that he was on vacation and that, anyway, the ship’s doctors probably were more than adequate for the situation. Nevertheless, his curiosity drew him to the scene. When he was close enough to see what was happening, he recognized the passenger who had fallen overboard was his own son!
