THE DOG DID IT!
A little boy was playing in the living room one day. He accidently broke a vase – one that his mother treasured greatly. He knew that she would be angry. He put his dog in the room, and left. When he came in from playing, his mother told him that the dog had broken her vase and that she had punished the dog. The boy couldn’t forget what he had done, and finally confessed what he had done with tears. Could you let someone else be punished for something that you have done? If you stole? If you hurt someone badly? Yet, Jesus has taken your punishment on the cross. We must not forget – He died in our place. We were guilty, and He was hung on a tree.
