IT’S A STEEPLE, NOT A NIPPLE!
Rising proudly above many Christian churches is a steeple which is capitalized by a cross. For some, the cross has only the smell of death. However, to the Christian, the cross has the fragrance of abundant and eternal life. It was on a cross the Lord Jesus Christ became the ransom and sacrifice for all who believe in him. Jesus Christ, who existed as God, the Son of God, humbled himself and became a servant. Jesus teaches us to value sacrifice, obedience to the Father, and unconditional love. Jesus teaches us that to experience satisfaction in life we must walk with God and model His life in Christlikeness. I find it very sad that some do not see a cross on that steeple, but a nipple. Some look only at the Church for what they can get out of it. For instance, some see a church as a platform from where they wield power. Some see it…
