WHEN THE TRIALS COME
When trials come, as come they may
into every dear Saint’s life,
God seems to say in His quiet still way,
“My son, it is perfectly alright.”
It’s alright to hurt, and to shed a tear;
It’s alright to weep and share.
For that’s the purpose of the church;
It was given to us to care.
It’s alright to question in a humble voice,
“O God why must it happen to me?”
But then be still and reminisce,
To those words before Calvary.
“Not my will but thine,” Jesus said.
How it hurt to go to that cross.
“Not my will but thine,” My Savior said,
Oh how much less is my loss.
Lord, Help me today this burden to bear,
Help me to heal and to pray.
Let it melt me and mold my life,
To be more like…
