JUST THINKING OF ANOTHER
In his book, You Can Get Bitter Or You Can Get Better, Rev. James Moore, tells the story of Lawi. Lawi was a 12 year old African boy who lived with his family in a small village. One day Lawi was baby-sitting his little brother. The rest of the family was at work in the sugarcane fields. All of a sudden the hut caught fire and was quickly enveloped in flames. Lawi was outside, but remembering his little brother, he jumped up and ran into the blazing hut, only to find the baby trapped under a burning rafter which had fallen. Lawi worked hard to get his brother loose while flames danced all around him. Finally he freed him. He dashed outside and laid his brother down, just as the hut caved in.
