Tom Stoppard, a profound author known for exploring society’s deeper philosophical themes, once wrote, “Because children grow up, we think a child’s purpose is to grow up. But a child’s job is to be a child.” We might add that a child’s purpose is to remind us of the beauty of their innocence, trust, and faith.
A Sunday School teacher had asked her students to write about what “God’s jobs” are. An eight-year-old boy wrote this:
One of God’s main jobs is making people. He makes these to put in the place of the ones that die so there will be enough people to take care of things here on earth.
