TEN NUPTIAL
“NOTS” Do not lose your head without losing your heart. Do not capture anyone’s heart unless you want to keep it. Do not expect more of your intended than you intend to give. Do not launch out into the sea of matrimony in an empty vessel. Do not assume you will be captain of the ship; marriage is mutual management. Do not expect all to be smooth sailing; rough waters are a part of life. Do not take anything or one another for granted and more will be granted. Do not expect success in marriage without love and sacrifice. Do not let the “green- eyed-monster” come into your lives; wrecking is jealousy’s specialty. Do not leave God out of your lives. He is the only “third party” who can make a happy triangle. By George Earle Owen, from the Sunshine Magazine, June 1974, pg. 6A
