DETAILS DON’T MATTER
The question was asked the Pastor’s membership class why they came to New Hope Community Church and what brought them back. A young woman in the class volunteered that seven years earlier she had visited New Hope, but did not continue, choosing rather to slip into a life of sin, entirely separated from Christ and the church. She tired of this lifestyle and wanted to get back to God. She tried several churches and found no acceptance. She returned to New Hope, where people had known her before and in her own words, “they didn’t even ask me about all the stuff in my back yard. They didn’t even want to know the details of my sin. All they said was they loved me and we’d go from here, with Christ’s help, to make something beautiful out of my life.” She continued by telling the class that she had since found healing love for her broken life.
