FINDING THE LOST
Donald A. McGavran and Winfield C. Arn write about how good churches and congregations isolate themselves from outsiders and experience decline. They do not encourage these groups to lower their standards to win these people. Instead, they encourage these Christians to get back IN the world while maintaining separation and holiness by not being OF the world. They insist that we must stop flinching every time we see a sinner. We must develop genuine relationships with non-Christians. They emphasize that new Christians are often the best ones to look to for non- Christian contacts. An effective approach to evangelism may be to team up with some of these new converts and allow them to share their story of conversion with their friends.
