GOSPELS
Why not take a look at the gospels in the order in which they were written? Consider how each of them extends the territorial claim of the gospel accordingly. Mark begins his gospel with the opening of Jesus’ ministry and ends with the resurrection. Matthew begins with Abraham and ends with a command to go to the world. Luke begins with Adam and ends with Paul having penetrated the world with the gospel for Jews and Gentiles alike. Now look at John: “In the beginning…” And at the end, no vision of an end, but a call to faithfulness.
