PATIENCE CHANGES
My dad met a young girl while he was the pastor of a little church in Sanford. She had some mental problems and had fallen in love with her psychatrist. She had been knocking on his door and bothering him all night so he called the police. She eluded the police and ended up at our church while my dad was at a meeting there. My dad helped her work out her problems with the police and took her home. Cary had no family in the area, so my family adopted her. She came and shared Thanksgiving and Christmas with us and still does to this day. All five of us kids bought her presents just like we did for each other. We embraced and accepted her into our family as one of us. And she changed before our eyes from a scared, nervous person who didn’t know Jesus Christ into a warm, loving sister in Christ.
