A WILLING CHURCH
Sadly, the major purpose of today’s Church has become survival. We must ask ourselves some questions. Are we the Church Jesus wants us to be? Are we willing to become such a Church? God has called us far beyond survival. He has called us to be the dynamic force on this earth for good. His purpose for the Church’s existence is calling people to experience the life changing Grace made available through Jesus Christ and helping one another grow to spiritual maturity. We are still confronted with the ancient choice — to be FOR Him or AGAINST Him. As much as we wish it were so, there is no neutral ground. If we fail to respond to His call, it is not because we are unable, it is because we are unwilling. Are we going to be committed to JUST surviving or are we willing to become the Church God has called us to be?
