MORE POWER TO YOU
A pastor began visiting a man on death row in a prison. The minister established a good rapport with this inmate and when it came time for the criminal to be executed by the electric chair the reverend was asked to be there and console the man on the way to his death. When the day arrived, the pastor went to be with the convict, but was very anxious about what to say. “Good-bye” seemed trite, “See you later” seemed inappropriate, and he became desperate for the right words. Just as they got to the electric chair, he blurted out, “More power to you!!”
