NOT ALONE
Encouragement is a key factor in successful venture. People who are encouraged can accomplish things beyond all expectations. An old farmer had a mule that didn’t know his own strength. As the farmer hitched up the mule to a two- horse plow, he would say, “Get up, Will. Get up, Kate. Get up, John. Get up, Betty Lou.” A neighbor, hearing the farmer one morning, stopped and asked, “How many names does that mule have?” “Oh, he has just one,” replied the farmer. “His name is Pete. But I put blinders on him and call out all the other names so he will think other mules are helping him. That way, he does the work of at least two.” You will find it remarkably helpful to form the habit of giving everyone around you at least one word of encouragement every day. This will not necessarily make two mules out of them. But it will make both of you far better people.…
