GIANT FLIES
Missionaries were showing a graphic film on hygiene to the Masaii in Kenya, Africa. The film started out with the camera zoomed in on an ugly fly the size of a Volkswagen Beetle. It filled the screen. Then the fly was shown walking in and out of the putrid body of a dead animal, the moist mucus of the carcass sticking to the feet and legs of the fly. The insect is then shown feeding on the fresh feces of a cow, noting how the dung was sticking to the fly. Then the fly was seen walking across a fresh loaf of bread about to be served to the family. After the film was shown, the missionaries asked the audience what they thought of the film. The Masaii thought the flies were terrible, but… they considered themselves fortunate they did not have flies THAT BIG in Africa!
