WALK OR WORK
In our service to the Lord, we can easily confuse our WORK for God with our WALK with God. No necessary correlation exists between our WORK for God and our WALK with God. That is, we can be successful in our WORK, but fail miserably in our WALK. God has always been more concerned with our WALK with Him than our WORK for Him. Among ministers there is a tendency to focus more on our WORK for Him. Among ministers there is a tendency to focus more on our WORK for God and neglect our WALK with Him. Why? Simply because our WORK is noticed and praised publicly, but our WALK is only seen by the Lord, and rewarded privately. If we are successful in our WALK, the Lord will encourage us in those times when we fail in our WORK, and humble us when we are successful.
