FORGIVING GOD
For some people the greatest need is to forgive God. There are things that happen in life for which we hold God responsible. It is not always proper to reason whether or not God needs forgiveness. The point is that we may need for Him to be forgiven in our own hearts. In John Updike’s novel Rabbit Run, Harry Angstrom left the house after arguing with his wife, Janice. She begins to drink. She is a little drunk and attempts to give the baby a bath in the bathtub. Her mind is not able to reason. The soap has made the baby’s body slippery. She grabbed but couldn’t get a hold.
