WHERE ARE YOU?
The following was sent in by William Boyd, President of Western Bible College in Morrison, Colorado: r80465 Tim looked morosely out of the barrack’s window. The snow was falling against the rich green German countryside. Christmas carols were playing on a stereo in the background. It was a beautiful scene — but Tim was miserable. He wanted to be stateside, to be with his family for Christmas. “This is just like all the rest,” he mused. Idly, he began to count the Christmases he’d been away from home. For the past sixteen years he had not experienced the joy of the holidays with his family. Each year was the same- loneliness, longing and loathing. As he wallowed in his trough of pity, he thought of experiencing this same sensation last year. Deciding that he would “step back” from his life for a few minutes and survey the scene, Tim began to realize how he had so foolishly wasted the last sixteen…
