HAVE THE WORLD
Mark Hopkins once put this question to his class: “You would like to have the world — as much of it, at least, as you want. Would you be willing to have all that you want and be deaf? Perhaps you would. Would you be willing to have all that you want and be deaf and dumb? Probably not. Would you like to have all that you want in the world and be deaf, dumb and blind? Certainly not.” In other words, most of us have been given more than the whole world. Treasury of Sermon Illustrations
