SUCCESS OF THE RUTHLESS
We went to see the musical “Annie” in San Francisco today. I liked the lines of Daddy Warbucks when he recounted the ruthless way he climbed the ladder of success out of Hell’s Kitchen. And then observed something like: “You know, you don’t have to be good to the people you meet on the way up if you don’t plan to go down again.”
