JUST WHAT I ALWAYS SUSPECTED
Sometimes we think of God as the author of all the things that go wrong in our lives. The following story is used to illustrate this concept. A friend of mine named Kirk was having one of those bad days where everything seems to go wrong. One thing after another until, at the close of the day, he lay in bed absolutely exhausted. As he thought over the day he became more and more upset until he finally blurted out, “Why me, God? Why does everything always go wrong for me?” Suddenly the ceiling of his room was pulled back and a huge hand with an outstretched finger came down and poked him on the chest and a loud majestic voice thundered, “Because you bug me, Kirk.”
