The first prayer I want my son to learn to say is not “God keep Daddy safe,” but “God, make Daddy brave, and if there are hard things that Daddy must do, give him the strength to do them.” Daddy dead is still Daddy, but Daddy dishonored is something worse than words can describe. Studdert Kennedy
