OFFERTORY PRAYERS
A pastor said, “I never really knew how important my offertory prayers were until one Sunday I prayed a prayer I read in Stewardship Facts: ‘Lord, no matter what we say or do, here is what we think of you. Amen.’ After the service, the choir director came to him and reported that the prayer ‘destroyed the mood of the choir and they couldn’t sing.'” (Hilbert J. Berger, Journal of Stewardship, Vol. 32).
