After a week-long prayer and meditation retreat, the participants were asked to write their impressions. One man wrote:
My ambition to succeed had taken over my life to such an extent that I was feeling out of touch with reality. I was missing out on life. So, I came here looking for an answer. I came here looking for some sign or miracle. And what I’ve discovered is that the real miracle is the miracle of the people: the way they greet each other, the way they open their hearts to each other. Here everything is so simple and basic. You can read the signs that are written everywhere in life. When you’re moving too fast, you can’t read the signs. When you’re moving too fast, you miss the miracle of life.
