A mysterious building had been erected on the outskirts of town and the residents were curious. An old farmer, driving past the place, called out to a man who was entering the building, “What are you doin’ in that big barn?”
“It’s a chemical laboratory. We are searching for a universal solvent — something that will dissolve all things! If we want a solution of iron, glass, gold — anything, all we have to do is drop it into this liquid.”
“Is that a fact?” said the farmer. “Well, what are you goin’ to keep it in?”
