“All that came to be had life in Him and that life was the light of men, a light that shines in the dark” (John 1:4-5).
How well do we know the Truth which Jesus has given us? What is it that God can do if He has us? One Christian Educator and Author has written an inspiring poetic account of how, as a disciple of Christ, he began to answer these questions for himself:
There is darkness in the world,
deep and threatening; only fools pretend there isn’t.
There is darkness in our personal lives
even though the masks we wear are bright and smiling. Our world is out of focus and fragmented.
But, for the person who, in a daring, radical act of trust puts his or her faith in the brave promises of God, something is coming of it all.
There are streaks of light on the horizon, and little by little, life is becoming what the New Testament…
