PICK YOUR KIND OF WAR
Television news and newspapers continually remind us that all the major governments throughout the world are trying to eliminate the nuclear threat of war. But the same countries seem to all continually participate in warfare. Therefore, it seems safe to conclude that these same governments are not so much opposed to war as they are interested in choosing which kind of war they get to fight — they like the long, drawn-out ones.
