ROY ROGERS & DALE EVANS
One of our faithful subscribers and prolific contributors — Don Maddox of Church of the Valley in Apple Valley, California — writes to us and gives an update concerning our friends and co-laborers: Roy Rogers and Dale Evans. Here is the December 30, 1996 update in Don’s words: “Roy Rogers and Dale Evans are members here, and Dale for the thirtieth year sang and spoke at our middle Christmas Eve service. I’m of the age that Roy and Dale were boyhood heroes, certainly Roy, so this little boy’s heart is so thrilled to see them. Dale is eighty-four and Roy is eighty- five… both of them have been ill this past year, but Dale in a wheel chair shared the Good News of the gospel with our people.”
