UNHEALTHY DRUNK
A man left a bar, got into his car and drove away. He was soon stopped by a police officer. The officer explained that he was testing drivers for drunken driving. “Would you please blow into this machine?” The driver answered, “I’m sorry, I can’t do that. I have asthma. If I blow into that machine I’ll have an asthma attack.” The officer then said, “Then please come along with me to the station so I can give you a blood test.” The man still protested: “I can’t do that. I have anemia. If you stick a needle in me, I will bleed to death.” The officer suggested a third alternative: “Then just get out of the car and walk five yards along this white line.” The man responded, “I’m afraid I can’t do that either.” The officer asked, “And why can’t you do that?” The man answered, “Because I’m too drunk.”
