LOVE & SELF- CONTROL
It is interesting that the fruit of the Spirit starts with love and ends with self-control. Love and self-control seem to be like two bookends holding all the other virtues in place. (Without love, you will not begin to experience the other virtues; without self-control, you will not continue to experience the other virtues.) Adaptation is in parenthesis.
