OLDER MEMORIES
I heard this several years ago. Seems there were three elderly ladies living together in an old two-story, wood-frame house. One night as they were all in the living room downstairs, one of the women said, “I think I’ll go take my bath now.” She went upstairs, ran her bath, and stepped into the tub with one foot. She stopped. “Help,” she cried. “What’s the matter?” one of the other women asked with a loud voice. “I’ve got one foot in the tub and can’t remember if I am getting in or out,” the woman in the tub announced. Mumbling, one of the women got up to go upstairs and yelled to her in disgust, “I’m coming. I’ll help you.” About half-way upstairs, this lady stopped and cried, “Help!” The last of the three, who was still downstairs, yelled up to her, “Now, what do YOU want?” “I’m half-way up the stairs and I’ve forgotten if I’m going up or down,” came…
