THE STATES OF WATER
A junior high school teacher had been teaching his class the three states of matter: solids, liquids and gas. The following week the teacher was reviewing the previous week’s lessons with questions that stressed practical applications. The teacher asked, “In what three states does water exist?” The teacher called on a young fellow in the back of the classroom who had not quite grasped the concept of the three states of matter yet. He reluctantly answered, “Well, wouldn’t water exist in all fifty states?” At least the boy knew his geography. . .
