SLEEPY SERMONS
A pastor was getting frustrated with the number of his congregates who would fall asleep during his sermons. He told his frustration to other pastors who suggested that he tape his next sermon and listen to see if that would help him figure out what was happening. The pastor agreed and taped his sermon the following Sunday. The next time the pastor was with his fellow pastor friends, they asked him if he had listened to the tape. The pastor told them that he had tried, but not yet finished listening. His surprised friends asked what had kept him from listening to the entire sermon. Was it that long? “Oh no,” answered the pastor. It’s just that every time I try to listen to the tape, I fall asleep.”
