HELL’S FREEDOM
Our society has so brainwashed us against the idea of eternal judgment that it serves no purpose to discuss such with most people unless one can undo or sneak around that brainwashing. I believe the following quotations both sneak around our societal censors and do justice to the tenor of Scripture. An impressive modern statement of this principle of divine retribution is provided by C.S. Lewis in The Problem of Pain, p. 115. The lost, he says, “enjoy forever the horrible freedom they have demanded, and are therefore self-enslaved.”
