DEVELOPING INTO CHRIST
One of my hobbies is photography. I have a darkroom where I enjoy making prints of pictures for my church, my friends and myself. Making a print still fascinates me after all these years. I simply shine a light through a negative onto a blank piece of photographic paper. As I remove the paper under a safe light, I know that there is a latent image there even though I can’t see it yet. When I put the paper into the developing tray, the image slowly emerges. That’s sort of what it’s like for us as Christians. We are exposed to Christ when we accept him as our Lord and Savior. The image of Christ has been burned into us. The Holy Spirit then develops that picture of Jesus in us through the process of sanctification.
