THE PROPER TIME FOR HUNGER
Three cowboys had been riding the range since early in the morning. One of them was a Navajo. They had been so busy herding stray cattle throughout the day, there was no time for the three of them to eat. Toward the end of the day, two of the cowboys began to talk about how hungry they were. They discussed in detail the huge meals they were going to eat when they finally reached town. When the other two cowboys would ask the Navajo if he was also hungry, he would just shrug his shoulders and said, “Nope.” Later that evening, when they had arrived in town, the three of them ordered huge steak dinners. The Navajo proceeded to eat everything in sight with reckless abandon.
