GROCERY STORE EMPLOYEES
If you went into the local grocery store and started stocking their shelves, that would not make you an employee. It might get you some strange looks or even an invitation to leave the store, but it would not make you an employee. You might act like an employee. You might be in the same place as an employee. But you are not going to receive a paycheck. If you are going to be an employee, you have to enter into a relationship with the management that says you have been hired and will be paid for your work. In the same way, just going to church does not make you a Christian. You might have been married in the church, attend all the church functions and even serve on the boards.
