OUT OF BLUE CRAYONS
In Chris Browne’s Hagar The Horrible, Hagar and his sidekick are up to their elbows in water. Hagar is studying a map and asks his buddy: “When you made this map, why didn’t you indicate this area was water?” His sidekick says, “I ran out of blue crayon!” Sometimes we find ourselves up to our necks in trouble because we haven’t planned properly or we didn’t make a right commitment or because we ran out of blue crayon and didn’t finish the map the way it was supposed to be finished. We run the danger of running God’s Church like that, only doing the job halfway, never really finishing what we started out to do. We have to be more faithful. From Hagar The Horrible, January 11, 1991
