OPEN UKRAINIAN GATES
Many Ukrainian Easter cards portray gardens with beautiful flowers – with an easily overlooked detail: the gate to the garden is ajar, left open just a bit. The meaning for this is traditional; during the season of Easter, doors are to be left open. Our risen Lord has opened what is locked. Jesus has opened the door to heaven. We, in turn, are to open up the door of our heart to Jesus. Let us open our heart, our life to the Lord.
