BEATITUDES FOR A MARRIED COUPLE
Blest is the couple who do not rely on material goods;
their richness will be found in their relationship.
Blest is the couple who share their sorrows and bad days;
their consolation will be found in each other.
Blest is the couple who are sensitive to each other’s interests;
respect for each other will be their reward.
Blest is the couple who are able to say, “I’m sorry;”
“I forgive” will be their response.
Blest is the couple who strive after holiness in their lives;
friendship with God will be theirs.
Blest is the couple of one mind and heart;
love and understanding will be theirs in abundance.
Blest is the couple who strive to be peacemakers;
many friends and acquaintances will surround them.
Blest is the couple who persevere through suffering and pain;
the joy of God’s Kingdom will be theirs.
