LOVE LOST
Bishop Richard C. Raines once told of a bright young woman who had decided that she wanted to dedicate her life to helping others, especially people in trouble, so she attended a Red Cross course in First Aid. She thought she would then use her knowledge to help out in an emergency center in the ghetto area of her city. She completed the course and graduated with distinction. She then went out to share her skills through acts of love and kindness. She hadn’t been at the center for more than an hour when there was a terrible automobile accident just a block away. She and others from the emergency center ran down the street and saw that two cars had smashed together. All around was broken glass and twisted metal.
