HE CARES FOR YOU
A construction crew was building a new road through a rural area. The crew was knocking down trees as it went along. The superintendent noticed that one tree had a bird’s nest in it, with young birds not old enough to fly by themselves. He marked the tree and ordered it not be cut down until the baby birds were gone. Several weeks later the superintendent came back to the tree, and got into a bucket truck to check the nest. As he investigated, he noticed the young birds were gone. So he ordered the tree cut down. As the tree crashed to the ground, the nest fell clear. Some of the material used to build the nest scattered about. Upon investigation, part of this material was a scrap of paper from a Sunday School pamphlet. On the scrap of paper were the words, “He cares for you.”
