TASHLICH
Tashlich is a symbolic casting of sins into running water. Jews practice this ritual on Rosh Hashanah which is the Biblical New Year. Crumbs are shaken from pockets into water which contains fish. Just as fish never close their eyes, God’s eyes are always open. Other sects of Judaism use little stones and skip them on the water. They may skip for a while, but if they stay over the water, the stones will eventually sink into the sea of forgetfulness.
